Polo Coach

The polo coach award is the coaching award for canoe polo from British Canoeing. The Coach award is split into 2 days core coach training with access to specific e-learning modules (same for all disciplines) and 2 days polo discipline specific training. Each candidate will then receive an actions plan leading to an assessment (a pre assessment task plus a 90 minute practical assessment). This is suitable for most coaches from looking to introduce beginners through to advanced paddlers and teams.

Paddlesport leader award

Part of British Canoeing leadership awards it maybe of interest to some clubs to support some of their paddling.

The award qualifies paddlers to lead 'journeys' in sheltered open water, canals and slow moving water.  There are no prerequisites, you can go straight to assessment if you feel you can meet the assessment criteria or attend a training course.

A typical assessment  is one day paddling on open water and one day on slow moving water looking at candidates leadership skills, paddling skills and rescue/ safety skills.

You could do assessment in polo boat if able to rescue all other craft from kayak (kayak, canoe, SUP etc). https://paddlesuptraining.com/courses/paddlesport-leader-course/
