Coaching Module

Canoe Polo Coaching Modules.

The Canoe Polo Coaching modules have been designed to sit within the UKCC paddlesport coaching scheme.

The coaching qualifications include the UKCC Level 1 and 2 Paddlesport Coach, these qualification courses include how to coach as well as technical detail on strokes. The courses are assessed.

Then there are several other courses designed to provide additional knowledge, these include the competition discipline support modules (Polo, Slalom, racing, freestyle etc) and other modules including Coaching the Mind, Fitness for Paddlesports, Coaching Young Paddlers, Mentoring for Paddlesport Coaches,Outdoor Education and Paddlesport and Performance Planning for Paddlesport Coaches.

Canoe Polo Level 1 Competition Coaching support module – The day is designed for coaches from all paddle-sport disciplines who would like to deliver structured canoe polo sessions within their club or group and clubs who would like to develop their new coaches or polo players.

The module looks at what is required for canoe polo both from a performance point of view and logistical point of view. How we structure a polo session to aid safe enjoyable learning and how we building up polo related skills with our paddlers in order to take part in competitions and be able to play set tactics.

Canoe Polo Level 2 Competition Coaching support module – This module looks to build on level 1, introducing additional tactics and ideas for developing polo related skills and how to plan and deliver a series of sessions right for your paddlers. The module looks at what’s involved in managing a team .
