Introductory Canoe Polo Opportunity

Canoe Polo Development Academy

To compliment the overall canoe polo development strategy as from March of this year under the auspices of the CP Committee and the GB squads and with the help and support of Jamie Thomson, Alan Neal, Ginny Coyle and Mike Moffitt a number of very successful canoe polo development weekends have been held using the FOA facility in Liverpool.

Most of the current attendees both male and female are within the 14 years to 20 years old range.

Most of the sessions have revolved around  developing the individuals personal and game skills.

With the initiative still very much in it’s infancy we have been asked if we can build on what is already in place, whilst the new and potential candidates will undoubtedly have varying skills and experience’s the approach of ‘attempting to be the best they can’ and an attitude and focus to be receptive with an enthusiasm to continue to develop is paramount.

The Development Academy Help and Support.

As you can imagine if we are to develop within our sport as I feel most would wish it can only happen with the goodwill of those mostly either in or already supporting our sport. Yes additional coaching help would not go amiss, including players both past and present, even more so those who can both present, demonstrate and execute those necessary personal skills to enable the candidate in time to potentially play the game at a higher ability level. Your help would be appreciated.  Whilst you are welcome to attend full time, of necessity you can determine what you would like to do, come deliver and go and we will fit the programme around your availability. Admin, Analysis, Refereeing offers of help would be more than useful.

‘THERE IS NO DOUBT GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY WITH SOME GUIDANCE, WITHIN A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT OUR YOUNG ATHLETES CAN BE AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN MOST ABOUT!

INTERESTED?  THEN PLEASE GET IN TOUCH, CLOSING DATE 1ST OCTOBER 2015

Many Thanks

Mike Moffitt – Development Coordinator
