Venue and Camping

This year’s Championships will be held at Spring Lakes Watersports Centre, the new home of Paddle UK Polo.

Address is as follows:

Pasture Ln, Long Eaton, Nottingham NG10 2FZ

A venue information pack with detailed information will be sent out in the next couple of weeks, but camping, drinking water, toilets, showers and cafe will be available on site.

If you would like to camp, please complete the following form with confirmed numbers again by the 15th of March so that we can update the venue and have appropriate facilities on site. https://forms.gle/cnZMjY9U3hthovXq9

Team sheets – PLEASE ACTION

We will be using kayakers.nl again this year to assist with scorekeeping and playlisting.

In order to write the playlist I need all teams to register on the website. Please follow the following link and register to the relevant division, no later than the 15th March.

No team registration = no confirmed entry – We cannot start writing playlists until each team is registered. We will do our best to chase this as much as we can in the next couple of weeks, but a late registration will not be accepted.

Once registered you can then edit your players up until the tournament. This is a much easier process than asking for all your details and having to upload them all manually.

Format

The format will be fully confirmed once all teams have registered as above. Games are currently expected to run from 8:30am-6:30pm on Saturday, and from 8am-4pm on Sunday. However we have created likely formats below based on current entry numbers.

1. Open

Group stages, followed by division into Cup, Plate, Shield knockout stages.

Minimum of 6 games per team for the weekend.

2. Women’s

Group stages, followed by quarter, semi, final.

6 games per team per weekend

3. Youth

TBC

Rules, Equipment and Scrutineering

You should have all read through the National League rules when entering, however please re-familiarise yourself with them here if you need to – https://drive.google.com/file/d/1phl2zY_1cLEpFUdqOVBB3qTscY5BtH5d/view

All equipment will be scrutineered on Friday evening/ Saturday morning prior to games starting (timings TBC) – please ensure all your kit meets scrutineering standards found in the rules.

That’s all for now, if you have any questions regarding the National Championships please email national-leagues-organiser@canoepolo.org.uk with National Championships in the subject.
